Jim started playing guitar at the age of 8 years old. His first guitar was a no name plywood body guitar. He took it apart and thats where it all started. Every guitar he aquired, he modified and made repairs himself learning the trade by trial and error. Through high school, Jim played in many bands and at that point started working on friends guitars and gear. By the age of 19 Jim had a full on word of mouth business that grew overnight. In 1994 Jim formed Glinsky Customs. Glinsky Customs, bought damaged and abused guitars and amps, fixed them and sold them for a profit. Now, Glinsky Customs is a full scale guitar and gear repair shop. Jim also repairs and maintains all of the gear at RVP.

It takes a musician to understand what Musicians want out of their gear. Jim has recorded and co-produced many of his own songs with numerous bands including, Jester, Lost Cause, Jealousy, and the Afterwards. He has also spent time in numerous cover bands in CT including Chase, Ruff Kut , Just Hits, S.N.A.P. and Chaos Theory.   jglinsky@glinskycustoms.com
