Emily Boyer

 

Emily Boyer is an active performer and educator. She plays with chamber and orchestral ensembles throughout Connecticut, including the New Haven and Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestras. Additionally, she is a founding member of the innovative horn and harp duo, Apple Orange Pair, which can be heard on their debut album, Seeds, released in 2013. As an educator, she has been a lecturer at Naugatuck Valley Community College teaching both music history courses and applied brass lessons. Prior to this position, Emily taught applied horn lessons at Yale University, music theory and ear training courses, and has coached public school brass sections. Originally from Michigan, Emily is a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy and holds degrees from Peabody Conservatory and the Yale School of Music.
